Ah! There is nothing quite like being “put on the
spot.” Well, in each of my teaching practicums that
is exactly what happened. Prior to these practicums
we were given time to prepare lessons, units, and
decide on our classroom management plan. However,
this was the easy part; the real challenge came in our
implementation of them. I was placed in two different
schools over my five-week and eight-week practicums
and was evaluated on my process and progress by my
mentor teacher, (the teacher whose class I was in).
These reports are their evaluations of my ability as
an educator, as well as any other comments or
suggestions that they would be helpful to me in my
pursuit of becoming the best possible teacher I can be.
